Terms & Conditions

Services Provided

RubyBroom offers professional residential cleaning, commercial cleaning, and optional on-site laundry services as an add-on during residential cleaning appointments. The specific services to be provided will be agreed upon in a separate cleaning service agreement, proposal, or booking confirmation, which will detail: 

  • Type of service: (e.g., standard clean, deep clean, move-in/out, commercial office cleaning, on-site laundry wash & fold).
  • Frequency of service: (e.g., one-time, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly).
  • Scope of work: For each service, including specific areas and tasks.
  • Any additional services requested: (e.g., interior window cleaning, oven cleaning, stain treatment for laundry, specific laundry detergent use).
  • Exclusions: (e.g., outdoor areas, hazardous waste, excessive clutter, specialized cleaning requiring licensed professionals, dry cleaning or hand-wash only laundry if not offered).

Booking and Scheduling

  • Booking Confirmation: All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by RubyBroom. A booking is confirmed once you receive a written confirmation (email or text).
  • Minimum Service Hours: A minimum of [e.g., 2 hours] applies to all standard cleaning services. On-site laundry is an add-on service that will be performed within the agreed-upon cleaning service duration and may extend the total time required for the cleaning appointment.
  • Arrival Window: We strive to arrive at the scheduled time. However, due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., traffic, previous job overruns), we request a [e.g., 30-60 minute] arrival window for cleaning services. We will notify you if we anticipate a significant delay.
  • Access: The Client must provide RubyBroom staff with safe and unobstructed access to the property at the scheduled service time. If access is denied or significantly delayed, we reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee or the full service fee.
  • Rescheduling/Cancellations:
  • For One-Time Cleaning Services (including when on-site laundry is requested): A 50% non-refundable deposit of the estimated service total is required upon booking confirmation. This deposit secures your appointment. In the event of a cancellation or reschedule with less than 48 hours’ notice, this deposit will be retained by RubyBroom as a cancellation fee. If notice is provided with 48 hours or more, the deposit will be refunded in full.
  • For Recurring Cleaning Services (including when on-site laundry is requested): Clients must provide at least 24 hours’ notice for any rescheduling or cancellation. Cancellations or reschedules made with less than 24 hours’ notice, or no-shows, will incur a cancellation fee of $50.00.
  • Denied Access/Lock-Outs: If RubyBroom staff arrive at the scheduled service time and are unable to gain access to the property (e.g., locked out, no one home, incorrect access codes), the full service fee for that scheduled cleaning (including any added on-site laundry service) will be charged.

Pricing and Payment

  • Quoted Price: The price quoted for services is based on the information provided by the Client and the estimated time required. Significant deviations from the agreed-upon scope or property conditions may result in an adjustment to the final price, which will be communicated and agreed upon before work proceeds. On-site laundry is typically charged at an hourly rate as part of the overall cleaning time, or a flat add-on fee, as specified in your booking confirmation.
  • Payment Terms: Payment is due [e.g., upon completion of service, within 7 days of invoice].
  • Payment Methods: We accept [e.g., credit card, debit card, Zelle, check, cash].
  • Late Payments: Invoices not paid by the due date may be subject to a late fee of [e.g., $25 or 1.5%] per [e.g., week/month] on the outstanding balance. RubyBroom reserves the right to suspend or terminate services for overdue accounts.
  • Sales Tax: Applicable Florida sales tax will be added to commercial cleaning services and any explicitly taxed portion of residential services (e.g., specific add-ons) as required by law. Residential cleaning services are generally exempt from sales tax in Florida.

SPECIAL DISCOUNTS

  • RubyBroom is proud to offer a 10% discount on our standard cleaning service rates to the following eligible clients:
    • Active and Retired Police Officers: Valid identification or proof of service is required.
    • Veterans: Valid identification or proof of service is required.
    • Elderly Customers (65 years old and up): Valid government-issued identification showing date of birth is required.
  • Discounts must be requested at the time of booking and eligibility confirmed prior to service. Discounts cannot be combined with other offers or promotions.

Client Responsibilities

  • Preparation (General): For optimal cleaning, the Client is requested to tidy up personal belongings, clear surfaces, and remove items that may obstruct cleaning or pose a risk to our staff (e.g., valuable, fragile items, hazardous materials).
  • Valuables & Fragile Items: Please secure or point out any extremely valuable, irreplaceable, or fragile items that require special care or should not be touched. RubyBroom is not liable for damage to items that were not properly secured or identified.
  • Safety: The Client must ensure a safe working environment for our staff. This includes addressing any known hazards (e.g., exposed wires, unstable furniture, aggressive pets).
  • Supplies & Equipment: Unless otherwise agreed, RubyBroom will provide all necessary cleaning supplies and equipment. For on-site laundry, the Client must provide functional laundry machines (washer and dryer). If the Client prefers to use their own laundry detergent, fabric softener, or other laundry products instead of RubyBroom’s standard products, these must be clearly provided and designated for use by our staff. If the Client requests specific products or equipment to be used, they must be provided by the Client and safe for use. RubyBroom is not responsible for any damage caused by client-provided products or equipment.
  • Pets: Clients must notify RubyBroom of any pets on the premises. While our staff are trained to be cautious around pets, RubyBroom is not responsible for the behavior of pets or any incidents involving pets. We may request pets be secured during cleaning if deemed necessary for safety.
  • Laundry Preparation: For on-site laundry service, the Client is responsible for separating laundry into loads as desired (e.g., whites, colors, delicates) and removing all items from pockets prior to our arrival. We will not be responsible for any items damaged or lost that were left in clothing.

On-Site Laundry Service Specific Terms

  • Suitability for Laundering: By requesting on-site laundry service, you confirm that your items are suitable for standard machine washing (water, normal cycle, tumble drying with heat) in your appliances and do not require specialized care such as hand washing, dry cleaning, or specific delicate cycles, unless explicitly agreed upon with specific instructions provided. RubyBroom is not responsible for damage to items that are not suitable for standard laundering processes or for items that bleed, shrink, or otherwise change as a result of normal washing.
  • Inspection and Damages: Our staff will use reasonable efforts to identify items not suitable for standard laundering upon visual inspection before starting the wash. However, we do not individually inspect every garment. We are not responsible for damage to items with pre-existing conditions (e.g., worn fabrics, damaged zippers, missing buttons, loose embellishments) or for damage that results from normal wear and tear of the laundering process (e.g., minor fading, pilling, fabric fatigue, loss of unattached buttons).
  • Lost Items: While our staff exercises great care, it is not feasible to inventory every individual laundry item. RubyBroom’s liability for lost laundry items is limited to [e.g., 10 times the estimated cleaning cost for that particular garment, or a maximum of $50.00 per load/cycle]. Claims for lost items must be reported within 24 hours of service completion with supporting details. We reserve the right to investigate and attempt to locate items for up to [e.g., 7 days] before deeming them lost.
  • Stain Removal: We use professional stain removal techniques as part of our cleaning process; however, we do not guarantee the removal of all stains, especially if they are set, old, or caused by certain substances.
  • Appliance Use: By requesting on-site laundry, you authorize RubyBroom staff to use your washing machine and dryer. You acknowledge that your appliances are in good working order and RubyBroom is not responsible for any malfunction or damage to your appliances during the service period.

Damage and Breakage (General)

  • RubyBroom is insured and bonded. While our staff takes utmost care during cleaning services, accidents can happen.
  • Reporting Damage: Any damage or breakage that is believed to be caused by RubyBroom staff must be reported to RubyBroom within 24 hours of service completion with photographic evidence.
  • Investigation: We will investigate all reported incidents promptly.
  • Compensation: If damage is determined to be caused by RubyBroom’s negligence, we will either repair, replace, or compensate for the damaged item, up to the limits of our insurance policy. Normal wear and tear, pre-existing damage, or damage to items that were not properly secured or identified will not be covered.

Satisfaction Guarantee

  • We strive for 100% Client satisfaction. If you are not completely satisfied with any aspect of our cleaning or on-site laundry service, please notify us within 24 hours of service completion.
  • We will re-clean the unsatisfactory areas (for cleaning services) or re-process the laundry in your machines (if applicable) at no additional charge within 48 hours of your notification. No refunds will be issued if a re-clean or re-process is declined.

Limitation of Liability

  • RubyBroom’s liability for any claim arising out of our services shall not exceed the total cost of the specific service provided for that particular booking.
  • RubyBroom is not liable for loss or damage caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control (e.g., power outages, natural disasters).

TERMINATION OF SERVICE

  • Either party may terminate recurring cleaning services (including any add-on laundry) with [e.g., 7 days’] written notice.
  • RubyBroom reserves the right to terminate service immediately if there are safety concerns, aggressive behavior, late payments, or breach of these Terms & Conditions by the Client.

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising hereunder shall be resolved in the courts of Miramar, Florida.

RubyBroom reserves the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.
